Platon Chaldeos, Group Chief Investment Officer (Fixed Income) at Eurobank Group

Mr. Chaldeos is the Group Chief Investment Officer (Fixed Income) at Eurobank Group and Assistant General Manager at Eurobank Asset Management M.F.M.C.  He started his professional career in the early 90’s in the US at JPBT Advisers as a Derivatives Trader. He subsequently joined NatWest as Head of FX forwards trading and Piraeus Bank as Head of Derivatives trading. Before joining Eurobank in 2001, Mr. Chaldeos was the Chief Fixed Income and Derivatives Dealer and the Chief Bond Dealer at Hellenic Bank and Telesis Inv. Bank, respectively. Prior to his current responsibilities, Mr. Chaldeos was the Head of Investment Strategy of Eurobank EFG Asset Management. He holds an MBA in Finance & Econometrics from National Technical University of Athens and MSC in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Certified Portfolio Manager and ADEX market maker by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission.


Marios Hadjikyriacos, Head Global Markets, Eurobank Cyprus

Since starting his career in 1998, Mr. Hadjikyriakos worked in various senior treasury positions in Cyprus and abroad.  He was involved in the fields of balance sheet management, wholesale funding, fixed income and derivatives trading, and product structuring and sales.  He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007 in the position of Head of Global Markets where he is responsible for managing liquidity and investments.  He also advises clients on risk hedging solutions and investment strategies. Mr. Hadjikyriacos holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from Baruch College and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. He is also a holder of Cysec’s advanced certification.


Dr. Antonis Houry, Manager, Strategy and Business Development, Wealth Management, Eurobank Cyprus

Dr. Antonis Houry is the Strategy and Business Development Manager at Eurobank Cyprus Wealth Management Unit. He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2011, having previously worked at Citigroup and Commerzbank in London where he specialised in complex derivatives and structured products. He has extensive experience in Wealth and Asset Management and Investment Funds (UCITS and AIFs). Antonis holds a PhD in Quantitative Finance, an MSc in Communications and Signal Processing and a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, all from Imperial College London. He is a holder of the CySEC Advanced Examination Certificate. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA). He is the Chairman of the FinTech Committee of CIFA.


Panayiotis Chrysostomou, Head Institutional Clients, Wealth Management, Eurobank Cyprus

Panayiotis Chrysostomou, CFA is currently Head, Institutional Clients at Eurobank Cyprus Ltd, where his primary duties include servicing the Banks’s institutional clients for their investment and banking needs. Prior to that, he was Director at Symmetria F.S. Ltd, an independent financial advisory firm. From 2007 until 2013, he held the position of Fund Manager at CISCO Ltd, Bank of Cyprus Group and before that he worked as an Investment Officer at Universal Life Insurance Public Co. Ltd and as a Senior Analyst at the Investments Department of the MacArthur Foundation in Chicago, US. He holds a BA Honours in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University and an MBA from the University of Illinois, where he studied with a Fulbright scholarship. He is a CFA charterholder and a founding member of the CFA Society of Cyprus, where he served as President, Vice President and Secretary. He is also a member of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) and holder of CySEC’s Advanced Certification.


Toula Onoufriou, President of the Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company and Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology

Professor Toula Onoufriou is the President of the Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company. She is also a Professor of Infrastructure Reliability and Management in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at the Cyprus University of Technology and an Academic Visitor at Imperial College (UK). She combines experience from academia and the offshore oil and gas industry internationally where she held several positions of high responsibility (Vice Rector, President, Head of Department, Director of Research, Head of Research Centre and Senior Consultant) and she recorded significant professional activity, contribution and recognition at national and international level. She served as member of national councils and expert committees advising the President and the Government of Cyprus on national strategy for energy, oil and gas, research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

She obtained her PhD in Offshore Structures with a scholarship from Imperial College (UK) and she is top graduate of Civil Engineering at City University (UK) where she was awarded the Renie Prize. International distinctions and recognition include the Stanley Gray Award by the Institute of Marine Engineers UK for the best publication in marine technology and the award of the prestigious SmartEN Marie Curie ITN Programme on “Smart Management for Sustainable Human Environment”. Also Invited Expert Speaker at many high level international fora including the United States Congress, European Commission and international conferences on oil and gas developments and smart proactive management of infrastructure systems.

She was instrumental in bringing together effectively academia, industry and government departments through the development of international and regional collaboration networks, joint industry programmes and other major research programmes. She lead several research programmes funded from national sources, the EU and industry.


Panos Papanastasiou, Professor, University of Cyprus 

Panos Papanastasiou is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Cyprus. He served as the founding Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (2002-2008), founding director of the Program of Architecture (2004-2006) and Dean of the Engineering School (2009-2014). He is also the founding director of the Master in Petroleum Engineering Program. He obtained his first degree in Civil Engineering from the NTU of Athens in 1984 and his M.Sc in 1986 and Ph.D in 1990 from the University of Minnesota.

He worked more than 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry in the Research Center of Schlumberger in Cambridge, England from 1991 to 2002 and as consultant to Schlumberger in U.K. and Russia from 2002-2007.  He was Advisor to the Government of Cyprus on hydrocarbon exploration, development and gas monetization options from 2011-2017.

His expertise and scientific contributions are in the areas of a) Applied and Computational Mechanics: geomaterials, plasticity theories,  micromechanics, fracture mechanics, flow in porous media, finite element analysis b) Petroleum Geomechanics which includes problems on wellbore stability, hydraulic fracturing, sanding prediction and control, reservoir Geomechanics and CO2 geological storage and c) Oil and Gas management in upstream exploration and production and monetization of natural gas. He has published more than 160 articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, edited books and he invented 3 patents in the oilfield. He is editorial advisor in international scientific journals on geomechanics and petroleum engineering.


Cleopatra Kitti, Founder; Advisor; Independent, Non-Executive Director

Currently, she serves on the boards of Eurobank Cyprus and Louis plc.

She is an ambassador of INSEAD Independent Directors Network, promoting effective corporate governance practices; and a member of the Arab International Women’s Forum, actively engaged in women’s contribution to the economy, policy making and society.


Constantinos Papalucas, EastMed Energy Policy expert, Founder of EastMed Energy Hub

Constantinos Papalucas, is an EastMed Energy Policy expert and the founder of EastMed Energy Hub. He is a Member of the United Nations Group of Gas Experts (UNECE) and teaches Energy Strategy & Management and Negotiations & Conflict Management at the University of Cyprus. He worked as an Associate at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, assessing the issues surrounding the gas finds and the emerging energy hubs in the Eastern Mediterranean.

He previously served at the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee during the vote of H.R.6 and H.R. 3301 bills where he focused on the use of the EU Third Energy package as a paradigm for the Northern American Infrastructure decision model. In addition, he has been leading an Energy consulting company working both on private and public infrastructure projects mainly in Southeastern Europe.

His work has been hosted in mainstream journals and newspapers of the United States and most of the Eastern Mediterranean countries.

He is an Engineer, holding both Masters in Business and Public Administration. He is a Harvard Kennedy School of Government graduate.


Andreas Panayi, Co-founder, Managing Director of Kinisis Ventures Limited

Mr. Panayi brings invaluable USA perspective, strategic insight and hands-on experience in new venture building, operations and realizing shareholder value. He is a serial entrepreneur and throughout his more than 30 year career in the US, he has founded, developed, operated and sold companies in the professional services and information technologies area. Since the sale of his first company Kinesis Marketing, a Digital Tech Services company, he co-founded TKI, another successful Technology Application Development company with offices in the USA and India. Most recently, Panayi conceptualized, co-founded and launched Kinisis Ventures Limited, a business acceleration company with a specific mission to take a leadership role in creating growth opportunities for Cypriot companies that previously were unable to benefit from access to USA based business expertise, insight and networking.  Panayi also co-founded and launched Kinisis Investments Limited which invests in “right stage” Cypriot companies with USA scalable value propositions.

Panayi also serves as a board member at TK Partners, a USA technology holdings company. Additionally, he teaches entrepreneurialism & new venture development classes as an adjunct professor at Drew University. Prior to focusing his career being an entrepreneur, Panayi worked for a number of Madison Avenue advertising agencies and spent several years with a New York based technology incubator and early stage private investment fund.


Vasilis Procopiou, CFA, Investment Manager – Head of Collective Portfolios, MFO Asset Management Ltd

Vasilis is the Head of Collective Portfolios at MFO Asset Management Ltd, with three AIFs (2 Private Equity and 1 Real Estate) and one UCITS currently under management. Vasilis has worked for 2 years as Manager at Family Connect MFO Ltd, a Multi Family Office, and for 8 years with The Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation (a subsidiary of Bank of Cyprus), as a Financial Advisor and then as an Asset Manager. Before that he worked for a year as a derivatives trader in STCM Trading Ltd.  Vasilis studied Business Information Technology and then pursed a Master’s degree in International Business with Finance both at the London South Bank University. He is a licensed investment manager, holder of CySEC Advanced Certification and a CFA Charterholder.


Harris Poyiadjis, Investment Manager, CNP Cyprus Insurance Holdings

Harris Poyiadjis is the Investment Manager of CNP Cyprus Insurance Holdings since July 2017.  He is responsible for the Assets Under Management of the 3 insurance companies within the group (CNP Cyprialife, CNP Asfalistiki and CNP Zois).  Prior to that, he was part of the Fixed Income Portfolio management team (own funds) of Bank of Cyprus PLC for 7 years.  He started his career in 2003 in DEPFA Bank PLC, Nicosia branch serving in a few positions before joining the  Balance Sheet Management team of the bank until 2010.  Mr. Poyiadjis graduated with a BBA from Baruch College, City University of New York NY majoring in Finance and Investments while later he got an MSc in Finance and Banking from Cyprus International Institute of Management. He is also a holder of Cysec’s advanced certification.
